Snapify App is stock control solution design to simplify Stock control function for Vend.
Vend offer a simple yet powerful inventory management function that can help retailers to optimise the inventory control across all outlet. But the function is design for desktop and difficult to use on mobile devices through web browser. This limitation has restrict user to purchase new stock and input into Vend immediately, order new stock, transfer stock, receive stock or doing stock pick at the warehouse or store room.
With Snapify App, we enable the use to leverage on smart phone to get these tasks complete easily and it even let the user to operate offline for stock purchase activity.
A. Get started
Snapify App is only available on AppStore currently. You will need an iPhone to download the app from AppStore.
For new user you can start with Trial before making a purchase. Tap on Trial
Type in your Vend account Id. If you do not have Vend account yet, you can sign up here
Login to your Vend account. You must login as Administrator to complete the integration
In the Authorization notice screen click Allow Access
Upon successful authorisation you will redirect back to Snapify App
B. Introduce Snapify functions
Snapify App consists of 6 functions. We will introduce more function into Snapify to make it even better but we like to hear from you what is important for you when come to stock control.
Purchasing new stock
1. Purchasing new stock
Purchase stock function allow you to create new project container that associate with the new products that you will bring in to sell. You can use Purchase stock function offline and later synchronise to Vend when you are connected to Internet.
The offline function make it easy and faster for you to capture new products which you can edit them later before synchronise to Vend
Please note that the product you created in Snapify is not in Vend until you synchronise them to Vend
i. Create a new Purchase project
Tap on Projects icon until you see Projects screen
Tap on (+) icon
Select Purchase stock function
ii. Edit new Purchase project
You can change the PROJECT NAME to something that is easy to remember
The DATE TIME will populate current timestamp
Description field let you enter remarks that is related to the current project
You can take a picture of the venue or something that help you to remember for this project
Click Create to build the project profile
iii. Edit new Purchase project
Once Stock Purchase project created, you can start adding new products, edit the project details and create new stock order.
Add Product button allow you to access to add new product page and start creating new product
Update button let you change the contents, photo, date and description of the current project
To Stock Order allow you to convert the current purchase project into a Stock order and start adding inventory to Vend.
You will not create Stock Order until you have finalise the entry of new product and it's quantity
iv. Adding product to Purchase project (Add Product button)
You can start adding products to your Purchase project. The product creation page is design to work offline so that you can still use it at any location.
Auto-generated product name with "Products YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS" will fill up automatically, but you can click on (x) button at the right to fill up your own product name.
Enter the cost of purchase for the product
Enter the quantity that you intend to purchase. If you are not sure, you can just leave it blank and fill up later or just leave it as 0 for now.
Snapify will generate a unique barcode for you by default. Or you can just enter your own, OR
Use the iPhone/iPad camera to scan and read the product barcode (see video)
(Optional) You can choose an existing supplier to leave it blank
(Optional) You can choose an existing product type or leave blank
(Optional) You can choose an existing brand or leave blank
The new product will associate with the Purchase project. DO NOT delete this field.
We tagged the new product with the Purchase project so that you can find them easily in Vend.
Alternatively, you can just record an audio message and take a photo of the product and amend all other details later with Audio and Photo function.
Click Create product to save
Products photo will be added to Vend but audio clip will not
Audio clips are mean for user to recording the important information about the product which make it easy for them to recall later.
For first time user you may encounter message below when you click on ORDER QUANTITY. Please tap the link and select your working outlet as the stock need to add to an outlet in Vend.
v. Synchronise new Product(s) and quantity to Vend
You can start to synchronise new product(s) and quantity to Vend with Stock Order function.
Choose the Purchase project and open the record
Click Create Stock Order button to initiate the synchronisation with Vend.
Please note that this process require stable Internet connection.
If you have existing product that you wish to add into the Stock order you can click on (+) button to search the SKU or scan the Barcode and add to the order
You can slide right to left on the product line to delete any product that you decided not to add to Vend.
v. Completion of Stock Purchase
Upon successful synchronisation of new product and order, you will receive a notification on the Snapify App and the status of the Purchase project will update to Ordered. The process will now pass to the receiving team at your retail outlet for them to receive the new order. The process of stock receiving will describe in next section.
